Oh God of our Mothers’

God of our Mothers,

We thank you for life, love and mothers.

Through Eve, You gave the gift of life

Through Sarah, You bless the nations

Through the prophet Huldah, the preacher Joanna, and pastor Priscilla- You speak!

Through Mary you gave us Jesus: the Perfect Revelation of Your love and grace

Oh God of our Mothers, let us walk as the Holy women of old

With Miriam let us dance and sing of your deliverance

With Ruth and Naomi let us celebrate family

With Deborah let us lead and defend

With Hannah let us comfort

With Anna let us look Your Salvation

With Mary let us be your handmaiden-

With Martha let us serve

With Magdalene, Joanna, Salome, and Priscilla let us preach the Gospel

With Lois and Eunice let us pass the faith to the coming generations. Amen.
